Yes, true, the Avocado is high in fat and calories BUT most are monounsaturated which lowers the bad cholesterol and raises “good” HDL levels. And another thing, the Avocado has more fiber in it them fruit, and your regular cereals like Shredded Wheat or Bran Cereals. They are high in B vitamins, as well as beta-carotene, magnesium, and vitamins E and K. There are some great recipes out there too, just in case you are not sure what to do with an Avocado. Guacamole is very yummy but if that is not your thing, I have added a recipe you might like.
