The Assassination Of John Lennon

December the 8th 1980, at age 40, John Lennon was shot in front of the Dakota in New York City with his wife Yoko Ono at his side. A shock to the whole world, the sadness still lingers in my soul. A brilliant man, with so much to offer, and so talented will be missed forever. Even after all of these years John still seems to be making his mark. There are people who come and go out of our lives, and...

Memory Almost Full

How exciting is this. Paul McCartney’s new CD “Memory Almost Full”. I think its pretty amazing to see Paul at the age of 65, coming out with such great music just like he always has. I have listened to most of the songs, and even find they sound a lot like The Beatles themselves. It’s the same feeling and effect for sure. Paul is so musically gifted, and in my opinion he is...

I Met The Walrus

In John’s words… “Think peace and you’ll get it. It’s up to the people… If we really wanna change it, we can change it.” I was so excited when I found this article. In 1969 Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon’s room in Toronto to do an interview with John for his school paper. This was during the time John and Yoko were doing their bed-in phase to promote peace. Jerry is now...

He Drew, Too.

Wondering who I am referring too? Yup, no other then one of my favorite people, John Lennon. I think most of us knew that John drew a few things, but he used to sketch quite a few pictures. Some of himself and some of Yoko Ono. Acting for John Lennon’s estate, Yoko began releasing limited addition prints  of Lennon’s artwork. I think its nice to see John’s artwork out there now....

The Beatles-”Love” CD

I have to say, I was a little skeptical when they were talking about coming out with a new Beatles “Love” CD. Why touch something that touched so many. Why not just leave it the way it is. I did a little search and went to their web site, and was very impressed by what they did with The Beatles songs. You are able to listen to short clips of the songs on the “Love” CD. I think...

John Lennon: He Asked To Give Peace A Chance

He dreamed of world peace. He was an artist, poet and an outspoken voice of the hippie generation. He was an influential musician, a peace activist, an absent father and a devoted lover and husband. He abused alcohol and drugs, sneered at normality, yet took time off from his rock and roll career to raise his son. But most of all, he was a Beatle. He was and still is, John Winston Lennon.  Read More →
