If you are one of those people who are concerned about what you are putting on your face, your lips, your hands and your body then you might want to read this. It can be very hard to tell whether or not these products have been tested on animals or not. In some cases, it does say right on the package but sometimes it does not. Some companies do not test their products on animals but they use raw materials from suppliers who do. It really does help to do your homework on these things. Read more
The Ugly Truth About Dog Fighting

Lately this has been a discussion that has become world wide. Michael Vick is being indicted with charges on this matter. It is very hard for me to fathom, someone finding something as cruel and inhuman a sport. I wonder if the dogs think its like a sport. A good way to have fun with their fellow dogs. I really don’t think so. These fights can last up to two hours at a time. Dogs used in these fights often die of blood loss, shock and dehydration, or even infection. Some of these dog owners even use smaller animals like cats, other small dogs or rabbits as bait. Read more
Christmas safety for Pets

Our Pets are part of our family, and at Christmas, they are just as excited as we are. That fresh pine tree, lights, and other shinny things, cats cannot resist the temptation. Dog’s beg for the bones from the Turkey, but don’t think this little treat is a good thing, it can get lodged in their throat. Chocolate may be loved by all, but for animals, it is very toxic.
Horse Slaughter for Human Consumption
There are three plants that are currently slaughtering horses in the United States. BelTex Corporation in Ft. Worth, Texas and Dallas Crown in Kaufman, Texas, export horsemeat to France and Belgium, respectively. The third plant , Cavel International in DeKalb, Illinois, which was shut down in 2002. According to the USDA, there have been over 2 million horses slaughtered since 1989. Read more
STOP Canada’s Cruel Seal Hunt

I am very proud of being Canadian, but when I found out more about the massive seal hunt in the North Atlantic, I was not only devistated, but disgraced by our Canadian government, and how they would ever allow such an inhumane thing to ever happen in the first place. Stop Animal Testing
I have just watched a video clip of animal testing. It sickens me to even think, a human being could ever do this to an innocent, helpless animal. This has been going on for years. How is it possible that they can think that tesing products on animals is a humane thing to do. This is only my opionion, but honestly, after you watch this, your view of everything will change. If you are unable to handle graffic detail, then I would advise you not to watch. Read more
