With September being Yoga month it is a great opportunity to experience all the benifits of this exercise. It doesn’t just feel great to do Yoga it is great for your whole body. It has been proven to help with back pain, menopause, breast cancer, and even helps you look and feel younger. Some of us have been active this summer with biking, walking, running, and swimming, but as the summer slows down and the weather changes, its nice to have something else to fall back on to help us stay in shape and keep us from getting those winter blues.

Nia is a personal growth, body-mind-spirit fitness program. It is a “living system” that works with the natural wisdom and intelligence of the body, mind, spirit, and emotions. If you havin’t tryed it, you really should give it a go. I have been taking yoga for over 6 years now, and love it. I saw this program starting up were I live and thought I would give it a try. Nia is not just for the young, but for the middle aged as well as the elderly. You can go at your own pace, and just enjoy and feel the music. It is actually a really good work out for the body as well. Nia combines a diverse blend of Eastern and Western movements, concepts and philosophies from the worlds of the healing arts (love), martial arts (mindfulness), nd dance (technique).
