Yoga and Asthma

Yoga is not only beneficial for the body but wonderful for the lungs. It teaches us how to breathe properly (pranayama). Breathing during yoga helps increase the lungs air capacity, and stamina. Inhaling deeply and holding the breathe for a few seconds or longer, you should not feel uncomfortable while doing this though. There are some posses that are very helpful for someone with Asthma as well. Downward...

I just read this great article on Hair Care. This is the Ayurvedic Concept. Did you know that we should be diluting our shampoo and adding 100 times water to it. Boy that sure would save a little money, and your shampoo would go a lot further. Drinking Milk, eating almonds and dry fruits is very good for your hair. Very good overall. Proper rest is awesome for your hair, and does wonders for our overall...

Now doesn’t that sound like an awesome idea!? Yoga and Chocolate in one class. That would be almost every woman’s dream come true, and I am sure men also. This is no ordinary chocolate though, its got an extra twist. Not sure what I think about that, but I would not mind trying.  Truffles (milk chocolate fused with sweet Indian curry powder and coconut flakes). Apparently, they are out...

Diets should be modified according to the  prakiti (constitution), for each individual.  In general, someone with vata prakiti should take warm, and sweet substances. One with pitta prakiti should take cool, heavy, sweet, bitter and astringent food and kapha prakiti  person should consume food that is dry, warm, light, pungent, bitter and astringent tastes predominate. Humans constantly struggle...

We all wonder, do we really needs those Yoga Blocks, the Yoga Mat, pillows, a towel, and the Yoga strap??? Even down to the candles, and the relaxing CD of a waterfall or stream. I know all of these all seem insignificant, and unneeded. I have done both. I started off with an aerobic mat…which I thought at the time was a yoga mat, because that is what the box said. I found it very hard to hold...
