Instead of grass, like cow’s used to eat, these days cow’s are made to eat corn, and lots of it. Feeding them corn is cheaper,but not healthier for the cow’s or for the people who eat meat. Grain fed cow’s are also fed antibiotics and medication, brought on by not feeding them the proper diet.
