I use soda ash. Thanks for the color hints by the way, ill be sure to put it all to good use. The bleach really works well, i used it on a black stones shirt in the middle of the stones mouth and did a spiral and it turned yellowish white and was really cool. We are all settled. I have never heard of procion fiber reactive dye before. I order my dyes from Dharma and have been very happy with their products. Are you using soda ash fixer before you dye your garments?? The soda ash helps the dyes to stay brighter longer. It works great. I have used bleach also, and found it was very groovy! The color chart consists of your primary colors. Fuschia, Turquoise, and Yellow. You could also use Red, Blue, and yellow. The first thing you should do is choose your colors. Tie-dye your T-shirt using one, two, or three colors. When using more than one color, it's usually best to start with the lightest color. When tie-dyeing with two or more colors, plan to put adjacent primary or secondary colors next to each other. In the areas where they run together, they will create a third, great-looking color. For instance, Scarlet and Golden Yellow will produce Orange; Royal Blue and Kelly Green will make Aqua; Fuchsia and Royal Blue will create Purple. Hope I was a help to you. Peace Out! Carlee. Im using procion fiber reactive dye, its working pretty well, for a while i was using all purpose, and i made a pretty groovy shirt with it but most of the shirts faded alot when i rinsed them. (Also bleach has worked well on some of my darker colored shirts). Do you mind if i ask what the color chart is? no worries, hope the move is going well. Also, it is a good idea to watch the color chart, cause putting certain colors together can make for one messed up tie dye lol.
