When the sun is out, and your outside enjoying the summer, its very important to have a drink that not only tastes good and quenches your thirst, but a drink with nutritional value and great taste!!! A lot of the drinks on the shelves now a days are full of sugar or artificial sugar. Why not make yourself a drink out of your favorite herbal tea, or green tea. It really is very simple, and once you make it, you will make it again over and over. Enjoy your tea!! And your summer :-)

Not to be a party pooper, but as a food safety advocate I have to comment.
Sun Tea is a potentially hazardous food because tea leaves can grow close to the ground and are thus suseptible to contamination. Using tepid water and leaving it in the sun to brew allows the tea to remain ata temperature that facilitates bacterial growth.
A safer method is to use boiling water (thus destroying most bacteria, viruses, parasites or fungus) and then cooling as quickly as possible and storing in the refigerator.
This still allows you to control sugary additions.
Not at all. I really appreciate your imput here. I had no idea that it was not a safe thing. I wonder if you boil the water that you put in the container, then put the herbal tea bags in and let it sit out in the sun???
Anything unsafe like that though is not good.
Thanks again so much for your comment. I am always happy to hear other peoples knowledge on these things, its very helpful.
Peace Carlee
