Yoga is not only beneficial for the body but wonderful for the lungs. It teaches us how to breathe properly (pranayama). Breathing during yoga helps increase the lungs air capacity, and stamina. Inhaling deeply and holding the breathe for a few seconds or longer, you should not feel uncomfortable while doing this though. There are some posses that are very helpful for someone with Asthma as well. Downward Facing Dog, and Camel postureĀ are great. Do not do any of these things during an Asthma attack though.
